Urban ministry usually conjures up images of New York and Chicago, so why urban ministry in Lexington, KY?  Lexington may be a small city, but like many small cities in the US, it is experiencing dramatic changes very similar to the ones happening in the larger metropolises.  Learning how to be more effective in urban mission in these contexts is just as important as doing so in the contexts of Atlanta or San Francisco.  We hope that this ministry will serve as a model for other churches in similarly sized cities.
